• The screen width is measured diagonally, the unit width is side to side.

• Screen diagonal: 47.6 in Dimensions: With stand is 26.8H x 42.6W x 9.7D in. Without stand is 24.8H x 42.6W x 3.3D in. If it doesn't measure to what the box says (measurements I have came right off the back of the box) then I'm not sure what to say.
