• A:Answer Yes, if your VHS player has the tri-color av outputs you can use the av input ports on the back of the receiver. how it does not upconvert the video signal to the hdmi output, it has a separate av output which must be connected to the tv.

• A:Answer Bluetooth is one of the possible inputs on this receiver. So for the situation you're describing, do not connect your ipad to the receiver. Connect your iPad via HDMI straight to your TV and after pairing the iPad via bluetooth with the receiver, choose the bluetooth input on the receiver.

• A:Answer No, There are no coaxial inputs into the receiver. However, what I did for a vcr that I still have is: My tv has an optical digital out, and the receiver has an in. So I us that input for my sound. You don't get 5.1 out of it but you do get LR and Center. hope that helps!
