Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Grip the part of the filter that is closest to the lens body and rotate in a counter-clockwise motion. If it is on too tightly you will need to either get a filter wrench, or have it serviced.

They are designed ro rotate against each other to allow you to vary the intensity of the polarizing effect. As far as unscrewing the entire filter from the lens, it is same as with any other filter and just the opposite of the way you put it on.
