The filter has threads to screw on the end of the lens, kind of like a cover ans a jar only smaller in size.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The unit comes with an adapter for use with a 62mm lens. That, you don't need when using it on the 67mm lens but it's included so the filter can be used on two different lenses. You can always use it for a child's bracelet if you'd like. Always back off before threading the filter to the lens. That is, turn the filter counterclockwise until you feel the threads set, then turn clockwise until the filter's firmly attached. It's an old plumber's trick (that I learned from an old plumber) and will keep you from cross threading and ruining the threads on the filter, and more importantly, the lens itself. Remember, don't thread the filter on too tight,,, you'll want to remove it at some time to use a different type of filter,,, just make sure it's 'tight enough'.
