Hi Jc! Congratulations on your purchase! This TV stand fits TVs up to 78", the depth would be just fine for your Sony. Buying on BestBuy.com is great because the TV stands say in the title how big of a TV the stand supports. I recommend referencing that maximum TV size when shopping for a TV stand.
