“I am considering ordering a cb3-532-108h. How can I find out when the unit being shipped to me was manufactured. As I understand it the security updates continue for 5 years after date of manufacture. I don't want to make a terrible mistake.”

We would need the serial number of the Chromebook to get you the manufacturing date. But according to Google, the end of updates for this model is June 2022.
