If you want to use Adobe programs, I wouldn't go with a Chromebook. I am not completely positive, but I want to say, no, they won't run Adobe Photoshop or anything like that. They are mostly used for Google apps, Google docs, surfing the net, Netflix, etc. You really can't "install" programs onto a Chromebook.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree with the other answers here. For the most part, the Adobe suite of programs will be best utilized on traditional hardware. That said, Adobe announced a partnership with Google this time last year (Fall 2014) called Project Photoshop Streaming. The idea was to create a Chrome plugin that would run in the Chrome browser on any desktop / Chromebook which would do all the Photoshop heavy lifting remotely on Adobe servers. I did a quick search for the status of that project as it stands now, and it looks to still be in some sort of a beta aimed primarily at educators. Some of the articles indicated that the overarching goal was to see all of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications ported similarly. Currently, however, this is still not much of a reality.
