Both answers to my question reference "dial-up". I have our local Cox Communications starter internet, which is the lowest speed of 4 packages offered. Since I am a senior on a limited budget I have the most economical. I looked at the options and found a disclaimer that my package is 6 times faster than dial-up, with download of 5 Mbps. Greek to me....but I am going to assume that this would be sufficient for this Acer chromebook. Any agreements from my 2 responders? THANK YOU for your help!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had my computer for about 3 weeks and have had no problems. Our internet feed is just the standard Charter speed coming into the house. I kind of think that tthe Charter, AT&T, and others of that sort are just commonly reqarded as high speed. DSL. if thats what you have, is hiigh speed, dial-up is not high speed. Hopes that makes sense, and has been some help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It looks like the reference to the footnote is missing. It is referencing this statement: "Connect to a Wireless-AC router for nearly 6x the speed". The ability to do this requires high-speed internet, versus slower speed access such as dial up.
