Recertified indicates a previously-purchased item returned to the manufacturer. It is inspected and if needed, repairs the item before reselling, usually at a significant discount. There could be a number of reasons it was recertified-some are demo units, review units or customer returns. Unfortunately there is no way to determine why a particular model was recertified. Check with your printer vendor to see if it is compatible with Chromebooks.
