I wouldn't recommend this for video editing due to the fact that it doesn't have a discreet (standalone) graphics card. This laptop uses Intel graphics processing built into the CPU. If you are talking about fairly light editing, you may be able to get by, but for the same price you are sure to be able to assemble a desktop that can easily Handle those tasks. If you are dead-set on getting a laptop, you might want to be looking into gaming laptops as generally the hardware needed to game well would be the same hardware needed to edit video efficiently. Be prepared to spend $300-$500 more than this and sacrifice about 5-6 pounds more weight for a gaming laptop that has a powerful discreet graphics card, lots of Ram and lots of storage. High-Definition Video eats-up storage space fast. I hope this helps!
