• Probably not better. The 1050TI is a faster graphics card and the Ryzen 5 is not clocked as high as the 7th gen i7.

• Yes it has double the number of cores and threads with more sustained performance. The GPU is comparable. Idk the rest of the specs you have so I can't compare other things. But the 2500U is faster than the i5 7th gen.
