A:AnswerI have been able to play World of Warcraft on this with no issues. I have the graphics settings pretty high. I don’t play Fortnite, but I have seen it and I don’t think it is as graphically demanding as WOW. I have used this to go through some Mythic dungeons will no lag, all while running discord, and twitch. (I use twitch for the mods) I also ran a bench mark type test on the graphics card, this on ranked close to the 1070ti. I am planning on upgrading the Ram from 8gigs to 16 in the near future. But, I must say, after removing all of the bloatware that comes with this thing (antivirus, Dolby digital audio apps, and other items that slowed it way down upon start up) this runs smooth as butter!! I usually game with my custom built desktop and had purchased this to take with me when I have to travel for work. It has not disappointed!! Plus, I must say, great item with a great price! Acer has really stepped up their game.
A:AnswerIf you're expecting 1080p medium-high settings, this laptop is a 60 fps champ. Expect the framerate to lower substantially if you crank the settings to Ultra, however.
A:AnswerNot too sure. Performance on battery is pretty poor. I expect you to game on it for maybe an hour and a half only on the battery.
I always have it plugged in when I game and the performance is great.
A:AnswerThe processor is nothing to flop at, it's amazing irl usage.
Ram can be upgraded, it has 2 slots, 1 in use with 1 x 8gb.
It has a second SSD/HDD slot ready for you.
A:AnswerI'm still waiting for the Ryzen 7 2700U for this specific Acer model. But video editing is a strong point of the Ryzen architecture in general.
A:AnswerYo boss, most graphics cards in laptops WILL never be upgradeable. The chassis will need to be different and a lot of adjustments to fit a different card in. So no, its not upgradeable. It comes with a USB-C slot, but its not thunderbolt so you can't use an external graphics card as well.
A:AnswerMine came with a 256 GB SSD with an extra storage slot. I'm sure a regular 2.5" inch HDD, up to 2TB, will fit but i recommend adding another SSD because its incredibly fast. Maybe a hybrid drive will be the better option too. (The picture is the expandable drive)
A:AnswerI don't see why not. However, the GPU is an RX 560X. It may be just enough to run mixed reality, but any large, open-world Virtual Reality gaming might not run well.
A:AnswerBIOS will not detect a Samsun 970 m.2 2280 NVME drive. The BIOS is very limited, and appears to only accept SATA III m.2 drives. There may be a work around, but I have yet to discover it.
Acer, please clarify some of the compatibilities. We're getting mixed information.
