The naming of Ryzen is confusing but 3rd gen is 4000 series processors. So here's the naming of the processors to make it easier: Zen 1: 1st gen= 1000 series processors Zen +: Also 1st gen= 2000 series processors Zen +: 2nd gen= 3000 series processors Zen 2: 3rd gen= 4000 series processors Now these are names for only the mobile laptop processors, the PC processor names can differ. But don't worry this is the latest Ryzen processor in this laptop. I hope this was helpful
