Good beginner gaming pc
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This review for the boys/girls that are working hard for something they really want, and that being a gaming pc. The pc is the real deal , just enough to play all of the games you wanna play , the price is at a reasonable price for the budget people , when I started saving for this pc I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t work with games I wanted to play (team fortress 2, cod , etc) but it actually works. But if you want to play really good , then you need a 16gb upgrade and a 1tb HHD, just that and you’re pretty much set for a really good experience. If you’re contemplating to get this pc , just get it I promise you it will be a good experience

Good but know what you're getting into
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, PerformanceCons mentioned:ColorThis is my first gaming laptop and I bought after thinking for a long time, and this laptop is fantastic for this price point but you should know what you're getting into. There are flaws that can make or break your purchase decision. But if not then this is a great budget gaming laptop. So here are my thoughts. Pros: The performance is fantastic. The Ryzen 5 4600H is a 6 core 12 thread cpu which is unheard of at this price-point and even beats out most 9th and 10th gen intel core i7 processors, so no complain there. Also because this is AMD's Zen 2 7nm CPU the temperatures in this laptop is also amazing. It stays cool to the touch and the temperatures stay in 60s almost all the time when gaming. Another great thing is expand-ability. There is a Sata SSD/HDD bay and another M.2 slot available as well as an RAM slot, and it's really easy to open this laptop. So you can upgrade this laptop A LOT. The backlighting is also great, I don't mind the red. The GTX 1650 graphics is also amazing. I have been able to play all my games at 60fps high settings. The games I've played are Sleeping Dogs, Assassin's Creed and Far Cry. Cons: The biggest con of this laptop is the screen. The colors are terrible out of the box. The reds and greens are over-saturated and the color tone was very warm which made the colors looks terrible. This is however fixable through manually color calibrate the screen. Now the people who don't know how to properly color calibrate the screen will be very disappointed in this screen. The color tone can also be changed to cool which can be found in the AMD Settings Lite app which is pre-installed in the laptop. There are slight backlight bleeds on the screen around the webcam and very little backlight bleed on the right side of the laptop. Now coming from a laptop that had zero backlight bleed this is noticeable to me, but it's not that bad as some other laptops and you can get used to it. It only affects the blacks on the screen but it's fine when you're playing a game or watching a movie. But trust me the screen can be fixed dramatically through color calibration. It took me a while to find just the right colors but it looks great now. The deck feels a little small on the left side, but unless you have big hands like me you should be fine. So these were the pros and cons and trust me they can be overcome if you know how to manually do the things I did. As much as the cons were a pain to deal with I am still very happy with this laptop. I'm giving it a 4 stars since the problems do exist and you have to do more work to fix them, so that's keeping me from giving it a 4 stars. Oh and I recommend buying an extra SSD with the laptop because the 256gb storage this laptop comes with is just too low for gaming or if your transferring you files from a previous device which had a lot of files like I did. I hope this review will be helpful to others who are looking to buy this laptop.

A great deal
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Design, Performance, PriceThis laptop has the Ryzen 5 4600. Which is a 6 core 12 threas processor that beats out the newest Intel i7 10750h in most areas. The 1650 is perfectly adequate for 1080p gaming and you will see 60fps in most titles with high settings. We bought it for $669 but found that it was on sale today for $599 and so we called and got a price match in a few minutes. For $599 this is an incredible deal. This thing is screaming fast for the price. Even for it's original price it's a fantastic deal. Most other laptops will have you spending closer to $1000 for performance like this, espeically on the processor side. The laptop runs cool and quiet, it has a very well designed cooling solution. The build quality is very good, everything feels solid, especially the hinge, it feels nice to open and close. The keyboard is a solid red backlight, no RGB. I would have preferred regular white backlight over the red but not a big deal. It is also very upgradeable, has room for 3 total hard drives, two m.2 slots and one 2.5" bay. I added a 2tb mechanical drive to the 2.5" bay for extra storage. both ram slots can be switched and the wireless card. But i don't know why you would want to change the wireless card it is a great Killer Wifi 6 card. Screen is bright enough, I estimate it to be around 280-300 nits and color accuracy is decent but not perfect. I didn't see much backlight bleed at all. Of course backlight bleed is very lottery like, you never know how it will be from one machine to the next, including pricier systems. The 8GB of ram should be enough for most tasks and games, However I took out the 8GB stick, listed it on ebay and added a 32gb kit of from crucial (16gb x 2) at 3200mhz. Since I do a lot of editing of raw photos and videos. In closing this is the best entry level gaming laptop you can buy when you consider the price and the performance. It performs like a laptop that costs hundreds more, has the build quality of a more expensive laptop. Also if you are choosing between this one and the identical intel version that is $699, it's no contest, get this one. The ryzen 4600h is loads faster than the i5 in multi core. nearly 2x as fast.

Great Value for Budget Gaming Laptop
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality3 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Performance, Price, ValueDisclaimer: I ended up returning this after I realized that a) this was never going to leave my home and b) I can get more bang for my buck with a desktop, but if I needed something for gaming and production on the go, there's no way I would have passed up a deal like this. Let me get the cons out of the way first: the gamer-focused design combined with sub-premium build quality makes the laptop look like a toy; the 1080p screen won't win any awards for brightness, clarity, or color accuracy, AND suffers from light bleed around the top; the 720p webcam is mediocre at best; the keyboard and trackpad are just okay, but their housing suffers from serious deck flex; and the fans can get pretty loud during heavy gaming. That said, this thing is a BEAST for less than $700. The new Ryzen processor outperforms its price category AND its Intel counterparts, not just in benchmarks but in real-world performing (assuming the real world is getting sweet, sweet frames with high settings on a video game haha). The mid-range discrete graphics card is okay, but I definitely can't complain at this price. As for the build quality, it's lighter and sturdier than it looks (which, again, is like a toy). Finally, for a laptop, it's surprisingly upgradable. There's an open slot for an additional NVMe SSD, a 2.5" bay for a SATA HDD or SSD, and another slot for 3200 MHz RAM (which I definitely recommend to take advantage of dual-channel performance, although laptop-sixed RAM of this speed is still a little hard to find).
