I have always owned HP Laptops , non of which were good for gaming. So I decided to look around for a affordable gaming laptop and purchased the Acer Nitro 5 ! I have only had it for about 30 days but so far it does much better than the HP's that I have owned. It has a fast start up,I do use it for IRacing the graphics are very good and can run many programs at one time ,Video is very high quality and works well with video conferencing, as far as VPN I have not tried it. I did however purchase an extra 8gb of memory and installed it myself,but I installed it before I even tried the Nitro out. so I don't know how it runs right out of the box I would give this a great rating as far as function and price! I would definitly recommend this Acer Nitro 5 to anyone ! It was one of my better purchases as far as price and quality! Hope this helps. Patrick
