Great budget gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this laptop has exceeded my expectations. I have played Red Dead Redemption 2, Fallout 4, GTA V, Rise of the Tombraider and Fortnite on this and it has played them all in 1080p with no issues. You are not going to have the settings on Ultra but its plenty powerful for the price. I use the hdmi expansion to ay the games on a 27" monitor extended for work. Technically you can extend it to 3 screens (laptop / hdmi and the third screen share to smart TV) however there is noticeable lag for the screen share to the smart TV, so you can game with wireless screen share. My kids insist I use a hdmi and let them play on the TV near the desk.. I've read that this is supposed to have a SD card reader, but that is not true. The laptop fan is adjustable via the built in Nitro Sense software so it stays cool. I think the only drawback is the screen brightness isn't super bright, plenty for indoors, but having it outside in the sun is hard to see. Would absolutely recommend if your price range is about $800. My kids like hooking this up to the TV

Fantastic budget gaming laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This seems like the perfect mid-range laptop for gaming that I have come across. The 9th Gen Intel Core i5-9300H mobile processor has eight cores and uses Intel Turbo Boost Technology to speed things up when you need it and less energy when you don’t. The 15.6” HD display is 1920 x 1080 and is bright, clear and responsive. The viewing angle is pretty good as well. The bottom of the laptop is removable when you take off the 12 screws and then you have access to the battery (3720 mAh), storage, and RAM, it does take a little effort to pull the whole panel off and I was afraid of breaking some clips, but I did not. It comes with 8GB DDR4 SDRAM , but you have another slot so you can increase it to 32GB in all. It is nice that this laptop has a M.2 NVMe drive (128GB) for the OS to load up and a 1TB SATA drive for storage, there is also an additional M.2 slot that is unused. There is a memory card reader, BT chip, Ethernet port, 1 USB Type A 2.0 port, 3 USB 3.0 Type A ports, 1 USB 3.1 Type C port, and an HDMi output. Graphics is supplied by a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with 4GB of memory. There are better cards out there, but this is a good card for the money. Oh, and the backlit keyboard (Red only) that has the typical FPS markings on them for gaming. The keys are responsive, and the layout does take a little bit getting used to and I found myself always hitting the incorrect keys. A small learning curve, but it’s not too bad. This is a pretty heavy laptop but the design is nice and not overly “gamerly” is that makes sense. One of the best features I think for this laptop is the fact that you can open it up with one hand by just lifting the top and you don’t have to hold the bottom down. Every laptop I have owned you had to use two hands to open it up and I just find this really handy. Battery life is decent and it’s rated for 6 hours, but I was having to recharge every 4 to 5, unless I was gaming, then it only lasted about 3 hours. This laptop handed everything that I threw at it without skipping a beat. Windows 10 Home performs fast and is what you expect from a modern day PC. While gaming, the fans will spin up but the noise isn’t too bad unless they are full bore! Then the laptop sounds like it’s going to take off. The internal speakers are surprisingly good and they can drown out nearly all of the fan sound except when they are fully on. A nice set of headphones always solves that issue though. Acer also includes a nice neoprene sleeve to keep the laptop in and I was pleasantly surprised by that as well. Overall, I will highly recommend this laptop to my friends who are looking for a budget device that is well built and works great.

Great gaming laptop’
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it for work, flawless. It’ll do everything you need for work. For games. Flawless. I would upgrade to 8 more gb of ram for a total of 16 gb which it’s set up to evolve into. Then you can work and play your video games at the same time. Everything works wonderfully. It’s also very stylish. I’d prefer a metal build, but the plastic with red/black color scheme are beautiful and work together nicely. I bought this laptop on sale for 750.00. I’m thrilled about the price. I would’ve purchased it at the 830.00 retail and would’ve still been content. Buy with confidence. This machine is worth it. After you set it up, watch how quick it boots. It’ll blow you away! 9/10! If it were metal and had an i7 processor it’d be 10/10. Excellent machine!

Good Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for a while now. I purchased it for my 6 year old daughter who LOVES video games. It's her first official gaming computer. She absolutely loves it. My only issues have been: 1. The key caps are extremely hard to remove and even harder to get back on. I have had to remove them because crumbs and dust get underneath them and affect the way the keys work. 2. The material that the screen and body are made of is extremely cheap plastic. Even when I just open the computer I feel like I'm going to break it. Other than these issues it has been a perfect starter computer and runs EVERYTHING I have put on it for her.

For real tho!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing display quality! I didn’t think it was gonna be that great but I’m speechless. I don’t play pubg or any games like tho but play other games an they run smooth! Mouse pad kinda loses reading when your gaming but you can get a mouse an hook it up an use it. Works perfect!

Stay away for now
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a total of 3 of this model laptop. First 2 were manufactured on April 4th and last one was April 15th, all made this year. All 3 had the same problem which was during a scene that was suppose to be black or dark, there was a yellowish/ whitish color radiating from 2 areas below the webcam and other areas around the corners of the screen. A minor issue I had was also the speakers are not as loud as my 9 year old Toshiba laptop that died( reason for a new laptop), I had to figure out the Waves audio to make it tolerable. Out the box it is on a low setting and had to change it to movie which is better but even with that and on 100 was not as loud as my Toshiba at 50. But I do not want to keep degrading this laptop because once they figure out what caused the screen issue, it will be a good laptop with the features for the price and hopefully they install better speakers. I hope this review gets the attention of Best Buy and Acer to resolve the screen issue.
