I just got mine yesterday and the first thing i did was install rainbow six and it automatically sets the graphics to ultra and it plays like a dream, I highly recommend this laptop for gaming or school/buisness use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This laptop should do well for a student. While Acer does not test many gaming applications we would recommend you check that the computer meets the system requirements of the application/game to determine if it will work. You can also contact the software vendor to see if they can provide information on compatibility with their software. You might also post your question on the Acer Community where there are many users that post questions and offer help and advice on Acer products. The link is: https://community.acer.com/

However.. without a cpu overclock you might be stuck around the 60 fps cap. I DONT CONDONE OVERCLOCKING UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. I went from 2.4ghz to 4ghz with this model and went from 70ish FPS to 160 on Rainbow Six Siege. Minecraft I get around 400 Average Fps, Csgo I get around 300. If you dont overclock expect those fps' numbers to be half of what I said. However the laptop is very very capable of running any game you throw at it. I'm a former college student and this laptop hasnt let me down at all. I actually upgraded the ram too and I went up an additonal 40 fps in Siege so currently I stand around 200fps, which is more than enough. I wish you luck.
