A:Answer I bought two refurbished Samsumg 24" LED monitors from BestBuy.com six years ago, and one of them just went out last week. The other is going strong with no indications that it will go out any time soon. That's why I am back on the site now looking for a couple new ones. I hate having mismatched monitors, pet peeve of mine, so I'll be buying two identical refurbs again. If I get 5-6 years out of a monitor for $100-$150 then I call that a decent deal.
There's really no way to tell how long a refurbished monitor will last though. My personal experience with refurbs are that if they are done by the manufacturer or an approved distributor you can expect to get a high quality product that should last for years to come.
