Yes, in fact the kit comes with a splitter (they recommend using this over the built-in secondary coax jack for continuing the run to the TV). However, if your splitter is REALLY old, you may find you need to replace it. When I first put internet in the house, the cable team replaced all the old splitters throughout the house, as they weren't passing the full frequency spectrum of the updated system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is possible, but not guaranteed. I recently helped my sister wire these up. Her setup is coax to moca in, moca out to modem, modem ethernet to router wan, lan on router back to moca ethernet. The coax line the primary moca/modem is on went to a Xfinity splitter in the attic, then down to a second moca adapter. They would not work. We ended up trying a run of the mill splitter in place of the xfinity, and suddenly everything was happy. So it can work, but is clearly splitter dependent. One additional note, the xfinity splitter was powered, the one we got working was not.

Try the hookup of your ECB6200Q at your modem as illustrated on page 2 of 19. “Coax In” is connected to the wall outlet from the splitter. https://www.tivocommunity.com/community/index.php?threads/comcast-tivo-moca.533003/ A MoCA POE filter on the “In” connection of the splitter is recommended. Remember that MoCA will not work with satellite service, as noted on the packaging of the “Adapter Twin Pack”. Both operate at nearly the same frequency.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just be sure you are using the Power Pass port on the splitter and you should be good to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the router is MoCA enabled, then you simply need a MoCA on the other end where you want the signal. If not, then you need an additional MoCA added to the router. The signal travels through the COAX, so it doesn't matter the length of the cable.
