“Tried to use this on the road with a wifi hotspot and it didn't work. What am I doing wrong? I do not want to use all my mobile data to use this product. It works great without the wifi hotspot.”

I have Verizon so depending on what I have my GHz band set to on my phones hotspot settings determines if my hotspot will connect to my Chromecast. If I set it to the "use 5 GHz band if available" it won't connect to the hotspot. 2. If you are trying to cast something make sure that the device that you are casting from such as a mobile phone or tablet is also connected to the same hotspot. Hope this helps.
