A:Answer I don't know about the video mirroring to a car stereo (I suspect the answer is no). However, I do know the device can work on cellular data only (no hotspot or wifi required).
The thing this device can do that a Roku or Chromecast do not do is: If your Android phone has Miracast ability (called various things on different Android phones such as SmartView, Screen Mirroring, HTC Connect, etc) you can use your cell phone data to stream content that will then project through the Actiontec ScreenBeamMini2 to your TV. You do not have to have wifi from a hotspot/router, etc. Just your cell phone data itself. This is the entire reason I have this device -- to use my cell phone data to stream content, and then display that content on my TV without using a hotspot/router or other WIFI source. This lets me use my unlimited data plan to watch online content, without using up any of the limited hotspot data on my phone.
