batteries last quite a while if you set the clip length for 5 to 6 seconds.. but I have used mini USB cable to direct wire so I can set clips for 20 or 30 seconds.. batteries go fast if u set it higher then 5 or 8 seconds, and if its in a very active zone where it goes off all the time,

I, however, check mine almost daily so I’m figuring they should last me at least a year. How long you keep the camera going when you check it, will also be a determining factor in battery life.

I activate mine when I’m out the house and evenings and currently running at 2years. The batteries are not rechargeable, standard AA you replace as you would anything else.
