• A:Answer You are mixing terms. A digital photo can be either high resolution or low resolution or somewhere in between. This software can sharpen photos that are slightly blurry and it can clean up and balance color. If a low resolution photo, usually found on websites for viewing since they look OK on a screen, is printed it often looks very grainy when printed. This software can make the image look better but if you have a marginal image to start with it cant make it into something else .

• A:Answer Yes. Elements 2020 still has layers. It has never been easy to use. There are Youtube videos that can show you how to navigate through a huge number of menus and tabs to get to the correct place to do the editing you want. Good luck.

• A:Answer Elements 2020 is the poor-man's version of Photoshop CSx. If you have the latter then you don't need E2020, unless you find it too advanced for you. E2020 can be a stand-alone software.
