I believe when used 24/7 it requires filter replacement once a year. The filter is expensive at about $200. but when compared with other units' filters costing $45. to $65. each that need to be replaced quarterly its actually less expensive to maintain annually than other units. Electrical costs are minimal as it is a "Energy Saver" device.

The machine automatically adjusts to your lifestyle and will power on when you arrive home and power off when you leave. The App is android and apple friendly and very easy to use. I've been using this thing hard for the past few days and can't find a downside and I do feel better. Filters are 199 and you figure in utility costs which will be very low and I would say less than 250 a year, with filter replacement..That figure could be less if you do not use it heavily or more if you use it in a hobby room, or work shop etc...The fan can purify over 380 CFM and over 750 square feet over all..Fan settings 1-6 and runs very quiet (35db) on lower fan settings..

I was told if it runs on level 3 24/7 then it should be replaced after 1 year. Once my system initially cleaned the air to AQI 1, it was running level 1 and not continuously, so I expect it should last 2-3 years for my usage, though with 3 cats a dog and 3 kids I won't hesitate if the dust and dander starts to return.
