  • QuestionWhat about growing green beans and collard greens do they have seeds for that and what one should i get for the best results

    Asked by Plants.

    • Answer Green beans would be too tall for this one. There are different models of this that are bigger and even those may be too small. I have the same size model as this but older and its great for mini jalepenos, herbs, and such. If you go to the scott's aerogarden website, you can organize the plants by what model you have. There are also threads on reddit where you can see other people success with various plants.

  • QuestionHow large of tomato's can you grow in this size?

    Asked by weep.

    • Answer That's a good question. Different Tomato plant types require different amounts of space for maximum production and size. With that being said, with proper care, our Tomato varieties grow to the speciations for the expected production size for the fruit for each variety we carry. I've grown Red Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes in my Bounty model that have been 1/4 the size of my palm. I've grown Red Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes in my Harvest Elite 6-Pod model that have been about 1/6th - 1/8th the size of my palm. Tomatoes are a larger plant type, and are the most productive when given the proper amount of space. • QuestionWhen you start a tomato seed in the pod provided do you transfer to potting dirt after they are about 4 inches high?

    Asked by Big123Garden.

    • Answer You can transplant into soil if you like, or keep growing in your Aerogarden with proper pruning. If you decide to transplant, we recommend waiting until you have a well established root system to transplant. • QuestionWould this work for growing weed?

    Asked by Dave.

    • Answer I would imagine any viable seed that can be sprouted with hydroponics would work, at least for germinating young plants to be transplanted. They have bigger, taller product models, which allow for a greater height of plant (2 feet +).
