- Answer No 3rd party microphone will work as the moved one wire in the connector, but if you manage to get the original microphone, it's pretty cheap and doesn't provide you with quality audio, my best tip is buy it, cut the wire and add a 3.5mm female jack connector, this is super easy. After its done, 2 minutes maximum for an absolute beginner, then you can add any microphone you want.
