I've done a little research and I did purchase Alienware Vindicator backpack for the 17 inch model laptops. Everything I came across says that the new were ones don't fit because of the bigger strip on the back of the laptop of mine fits just tight. There's enough padding on the front and back of it making me fully confident in the way it's held in. My main concern was whether or not the zippers would rub on the corners of the laptop and so far I haven't had any issues with that. I highly recommend the bag because of its versatility as well as nice compartments. the center divider is actually on Zippers and can be removed from the bag as well as a small bag for your power brick
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.bought the Swiss Gear IBEX 7316-06 17" The computer fits VERY tight, but, it does fit. You have to be sensitive of the corners. Otherwise the bag is a good option. When I was looking I could not find a better bag.
