“If I upgrade to a 1TB ssd, where would the windows cd keys be located? I am used to building my own, so I am not too sure how prebuilts are in terms of reinstalling windows on a new ssd. I understand for drivers I can just go to dell.com but windows keys?”

You don't need your Windows key anymore, as long as you're not replacing the motherboard. Just install the new SSD, install Windows, and it will activate again automatically.
