• I believe it is capable of 4k gaming. I don't have a 4k monitor but, it comes with one of the top video cards out there. I run Anthem and other AAA titles at full graphics capacity or on Ultra while running 4-5 other programs like recording software or chat software. It also handles VR well with recording software active. And I'm sure it will be future proof for a few years. I also have an Alienware R5 (2016) with a GTX 1070 and it is still a competitor. I think you'll be just fine with this desktop / rig.
