Q: QuestionThe current available Alienware x16 R2 has 32gb ram that is not advertised as being onboard meaning that it can personally be upgraded using the dell memory sticks offered on their website if found compatible?

• A:Answer I don't know why Dell just mentioned this being a R2 in the reply here. This is an R1! I Just bought it and took it home. Not only that, but I just extracted cinebench 2024 to do some testing against the Asus G14 and it took this machine 15 minutes to unzip whereas the g14 unzipped the same file 3 times in the same time span. I don't know what is going on here.

• A:Answer I spoke to the dell advisor on their website and they said it was upgradable bc the 32gb ram is not onboard or it would be advertised as such.
