QuestionI would like to purchase this frame online and have it shipped directly to my parents who live in Illinois. I live in Texas. Will I be able to "bind" to the frame remotely to upload photos via the mobile app? If not how do I upload photos to the frame?

- Answer Yes but you will need the frame ID for the app to connect - or the frame email that they create to send via email. I got it for my mom - I helped her set it up, but made sure to make account for both of us and bind both to the frames so we both can add photos. I live in another state and can add photos from my app account. Make sure they give you the frame ID and frame email - download app, create account and use frame ID to connect…. Or email photos to the email they setup. Pretty easy!

- Answer To upload you can use the app, SD card, or email - so you kind of need to open it to do so. The app is easy but you need the frame ID, and the email is created when you set up the frame… so yes you can but would need to open and set up a little to upload and then repackage.

- Answer Yes. As long as the frame is connected to a 2.4G WIFI then you can use the app to send photos from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.

- Answer No, the wifi can be turned off. The WiFi is needed to upload photos from the app or email though - but once you get the photos on you can turn off the wifi if you don’t need to add more or plan to use the SD card/method.

- Answer You can use the Smart Frame app after you bind it (and your phone) to the frame. You can use email, a 32GB or smaller memory card (USB, SD), and you can send from computer using a USB connection or FTP. Send a note to support@aluratek.com if you have questions.

- Answer You can. You can use a 32GB or smaller USB or SD card with .jpg photos and simply insert into the frame. You can bind your phone to the frame and then send photos. The person receiving the frame can still setup as an additional user of the frame and have all the features of the phone app. Contact support@aluratek.com and I can send you some tips and tutorials on how this is done.

- Answer Yes. You can also use a 32GB or smaller memory card with .jpg photos. You can use FTP on the computer as long as both are connected to the same WIFI at 2.4G. And you can use the Smart Frame app for phone. For more tips contact support@aluratek.com.

- Answer With our 16 GB internal storage units you can get 2,500 photos on the frame depending on the size of the photos. With the 32GB units you can double that, again depending on the size of the photos. As with computers, the frames are similar in that you should not use up all the hard drive space. The units can also show photos off of a 32GB or smaller USB thumb drive. Make sure photos are in .jpg format.
