QuestionDoes the person who has the frame need to have a smartphone to utilize live chat or can the frame just use wifi to chat? Without a smartphone can the frame initiate a live chat to someone who has the app on their smartphone but doesn't have a frame?

- Answer The frame owner does not have to have a smartphone. You can call anyone who has a frame OR anyone who has the app downloaded to their smartphone.

- Answer Yes, there will be a banner displayed at the top of the screen indicating a new image. However, this does disappear. You can also go into the main picture folder and the new images will have a tag indicating they are new.

- Answer Unfortunately, you cannot use an external HD...only a USB flash drive. The max recommended size is 128GB.

- Answer Yes, you can connect your Mac to the frame as well. Or copy photos to a SD card / USB memory from your computer and insert that into the frame. You can also copy photos from SD card / USB memory into the internal memory of the frame.

- Answer No, the video feature cannot be turned off. For non video models look at: AWS10F, AWS15F or AWS17F.
