In such a case this unit may not work with your vehicle. Be sure to test it quickly and take it back if the unit is not compatible. Typically the app has to be built into the vehicle stereo. If the app is only on the phone then usually you have connect the phone to the car with USB cable so your stereo can take the info on the phone.
