Make sure you have a correct "data" cable. It won't work with just a charger cable. This device should work but we have a 2018 Ram. We had the wrong cable to strat with.

If your stereo already has the icon showing for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto then usually this device will work fantastic. If those items do not show (without the phone being connected using USB cable) then you may have to test the unit and check your hands-free settings. But the stereo may be setup to only provide this feature if the phone is directly connected using USB so the car can read the phone with the high-speed connection. Be sure to test the unit and return if needed.
