you can see the HR at full screen on the HR app , the watch sees your HR by seeing your pulse just like a chest strap does, however we do have models that work with chest straps , although the Band 7 isn't one, the T-Rex 2 , T-Rex Ultra, Falcon , GTS 4 , GTR 4 , Balance are models tat work with chest straps via Bluetooth.
