A:AnswerI believe Google is smarter than Alexa because it has a more advanced database when receiving it's information. Google in general is very advanced in many ways however it has not trans furred over to the Google Home device yet. I purchased the echo, but I feel that Google home might have been the better choice had I waited longer. Don't get me wrong, I do like Alexa. It is a fun personal assistant. But she often says I don't know that. I don't think she would be saying that as often if it were Google Home speaking. Speaker system and both are relatively the same. Very capable and The sound is good. Alexa at the moment has a lot more things that she can do and they are called skills. However google is quickly catching up with its ability to do many more things. You really can't go wrong with either one but to do it over again I feel it I would have selected google because of future capabilities of the product.
