Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! While you can't call 911 from this device, there is an option for emergency services. Say "Call for help," for 24/7 connection by voice or select Call Emergency Helpline from your Smart Alert. Tell Alexa, "Help." "I need help." "Call for help." As a Guard Plus subscriber, the Emergency Helpline provides you, and others in your household, access to call trained agents who can request the dispatch of emergency responders - such as police, the fire department, or an ambulance - on your behalf. Emergency Helpline agents are available 24/7, 365 days a year. Make Emergency Helpline calls with any Echo smart speaker or smart display in your account, even if they're not among your Guard Plus devices. If you're away from home and Alexa sends you a Smart Alert, you can select Call Emergency Helpline in the Smart Alert. Note: To use the Emergency Helpline, you need: an active Guard Plus subscription with a valid emergency address provided during Guard Plus setup a supported Alexa-enabled device with Alexa Communications turned on and a verified phone number associated with your Alexa account. The Emergency Helpline is not a 911 service, and might not work during outages or if you're experiencing connectivity issues. You can use the Alexa app to add your Alexa Emergency Contact. Alexa attempts to call and text your emergency contact when you or someone in your house says, "Alexa, call for help." To set up an emergency contact: 1. Open the Alexa app. 2. Select Communicate. 3. Select the contacts icon. 4. Select the menu icon, then select Emergency Contact. 5. Follow the on-screen instructions. Your emergency contact receives a text message notifying them that they've been added as your emergency contact. If you change your emergency contact's information in your phone's address book, it won't update with Alexa until the next time you open the Alexa app. Hope this helps and have a great day!
