Is this device has a security camera on it? null

The short answer is no. While the device does have a camera it is primarily used for video when making a "call" to someone (similar to facetime/skype) or "dropping in" on another amazon device. I wouldn't classify it as a security camera because it is not always active and does not have an option to record the video feed.
