On my home router, I have access control enabled meaning I only allow know devices to connect. I have to explicitly add any new devices to my router. Is it possible that you have access control enabled? Just a thought . . .

First, try disconnecting the Echo Show 5's power connector and letting it sit for 30 seconds to a minute. If you're still having issues, I would try to power cycle your router the same way. Power it down for about a minute and let it come back up fully before trying setup again. From there, if you're still having issues I would suggest reaching out to Amazon's customer service for the next steps, or possibly returning the Echo to the store to swap for a different one.
