Yes.You can download the Holy Bible,but you might want to check for it in Kindle Books,and I suggest the Authorized King James version as not all versions are correct.Once you get your Kindle.Most church people will accept you useing your Amazon Kindle Fire 7.By far the best for Kindle books,and I had one before it worked great.Now as in the price $3.99 price around that.The KJV 1769 King James Bible Authorized Version (Student's Edition) is by far the best I think,but check it out if you want?(The Amazon Kindle Fire 7 is worth it!You save a little more from buying it versus the 8,are 10,and Apple,and Samsung I only checked out their price,but i'm not as impressed with them as much as I am with the Amazon Kindle Fire Tablets!)
