“Hello there. I was wondering if anyone knows if these tablets (Amazon Fire 7 - 7" Tablet 8GB 7th Generation, 2017 release) has parental controls? Also, do my kids have to have their own amazon accounts in order to use? Can it have Google Play? Thank you!”

Yes this tablet does have parental control. No I used my own google account. But u could make them one I’d consider the age of child.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.These tablets have excellent parental control. I use it for my daughter. I did not have to create a new account for her. All I did is set up the parental controls under my account and I was able to add her with her name and age. This blocks her from buying things without my permission. If she would like to purchase something, I have to put in my password first. It also blocked her from seeing things on the Amazon store that are not appropriate for her age
