• The Amazon Fire HD 8 is Ad driven. You'll see an Ad each time you start the device, but given the low cost of the device compared to a laptop or traditional computer, it is still an excellent choice.

• The ads only appear on your start up screen. They are not interspersed when you are using the unit.
