Q: QuestionI have read that I need the 5th generation of Amazon Fire HD to be able to stream Netflix to the TV. Will this mirror displays? I also have Chromcast. Will that do the job?

• A:Answer If you have an Android device, you can stream 2 ways. One is in the drop down menu. Look for something that says CAST. The other is to find an app, like Web Cast, in the Google Play store. There may be other apps, but I use Web Cast. For the Amazon Fire tablet, I still use a 2017 unit, which I added Android to, via instructions on the internet. The Amazon app store did NOT have any casting app that I could find a year ago. For a 5th gen Fire tablet, you should contact Amazon directly (they have excellent customer service).

Q: Questiondoes the amazon fire HD 8 have an aux cord plug-in? I'm trying to find a tablet that has wifi connectivity, ability to download Spotify app, download 7 hours of songs onto the tablet, and play music through an aux cord. Under $100. Any suggestions?

• A:Answer It does have a 3.5 audio/headphone jack on it. If wanting to play 7 hour on battery it might be possible if it's just used on continuous playback of music with no other interaction with the tablet and the screen shut off, 7 hours sounds possible on the battery, but if plugged in any power source then yeah its possible to have 7 hours of music playback even with the screen displaying the titles and whatnot. You could even buy the Show stand (or really any tablet case or stand) and put it in show mode if it's in a designated spot for the playback if connected to a power source.

• A:Answer Yes, I woodwork too and I use it for plans. It reads both PDF and doc files. However, I prefer to copy them onto paper. My am careful with my tablet and don't want it near all that sawdust and just dust in general in my workshop.
