• Yes, and yes. all you need is to be able to connect to the wifi provider of the dorm or hotel.

• I have not seen that option available but you may be able to use the internet browser to connect.

• If you can connect to WiFi the fire stick will work fine. You might want to limit purchases in your amazon account if used in a dorm situation.

• Yes, its portable. You can take it anywhere, as long as the tv has a hdmi connection. All you have to do is plug it in and connect it to that locations wifi, its that simple.
