I'm not sure what you mean by "unlocked", but you don't need to enter a code to set it up.

If by unlocked you mean jailbroke, they are not. You can watch videos on YouTube that will give you step by step instructions on how to jailbreak it yourself

There isn´t lock or unlock amazon Fire. You can configure on settings some stuff
