Internet is required the Fire Stick has to connect to something. All streaming services require an account and internet

You do NOT have to have an Amazon PRIME account, but you will need to set up a REGULAR Amazon account; you don't ever have to use the account or order anything on it; it's just like registering as a member to Amazon. You can set restrictions on your account to prevent accidental purchases by adding a 'block' or adding a PIN requirement in order to make purchases.
