No it doesn’t get local channels. It does have ABC and NBC and CBS in certain areas. You can’t get it livestream but you can watch it at a later time.

But if you definitely want live TV, you must also buy a amazon recast box. I bought one recently on sale for about 179.99 with a 1TB DVR. It is basically a box that allow you to attach a HD antenna to and then it broadcasts your antenna tv over the wifi to each fire stick device. Then from the Live TV selection at the top of fire menu you will see all your local channels. Of course positioning the antenna can be a challenge. But most any location in your house should get local major networks. Some of the other channels require some playing around with position of the antenna and height. If you get really into this then you should likely, get a wifi-extender (tp-link or something) with an ethernet port on it. then you can connect the recast box anywhere in your house and so you can position the antenna in the best place to get as many channels as possible.
