“I have 2 firesticks and have had them for over 2 years and both remote controls have stopped working,even though i've replaced the batteries, do I have to buy another complete firestick?”

Try to re-sync the remote. With new batteries in your remote, push and hold the select button (middle button) and the left side of the circular button together. Hold both buttons down for at least 10 seconds. It should reconnect. If not, try chatting with Amazon Support.
