Depends on the App you want, I would suggest watching you tube videos to see if the app you want is compatible with the firestick and they usually show you how to get installed also.

Yes you can download app onto the firm stick.

I personally only know of the apps for the different streaming services and Amazon Prime. I'm extremely tech challenged and don't really get into things like apps. If there's more, hopefully someone out there has a more complete answer.

You can download different streaming apps including specific channels as well as other types. Just need to google some to see what is available.
