• Hi KJ! The Keyboard case for the Amazon Fire Max 11 does need to be attached to the Fire Max 11 to work. The keyboard case is charged via a pogo pin connection which powers the keyboard from the Fire Max 11, eliminating the need to charge keyboard independently. I hope this helps, have a great day!
